The Full Story
Founded in 2018 by Tristan McClay at just 15 years old, Long Point Steak Co. began with bicycle and boat deliveries of premium Norpac meats around the Long Point region. By summer 2019, Tristan earned his driver’s license, added a freezer-loaded trailer and expanded the lineup to include Tillsonburg Custom Foods and Shaw’s Ice Cream—growing reach into new communities.

In 2021, Tristan acquired Udderlee Kool in Long Point (an ice cream parlour, fast-food café and former arcade). Drawing on his delivery expertise, he transformed the arcade into a full-service grocery store. With renowned chefs Ryan Devlin of Devlin’s Country Bistro and Patrick McMahon of The Mill, he quickly launched a vibrant fast-food kitchen, perfected the menu and trained his team. That year, the company also added Caudle’s Catch seafood to its delivery roster.

Continuing to innovate, 2023 saw an old Purolator truck converted into a mobile grocery store. Now in 2025—our eighth year of home delivery and fifth year at Udderlee Kool—we’ve upgraded to a reefer-equipped Sprinter van, ensuring even more freezer-ready meats, seafood and essentials arrive fresh, reliable and right to your door.
